OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

No Roads Expeditions Foundation understands the value of your privacy and how important it is that we take absolute measures to ensure that the data you entrust us with remains safe.

In all of our handling of your personal information, the foundation ensures to uphold our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles as well as all other relevant legislation.

This Privacy Policy will regulate how we collect, store, use and disclose your personal information, as well as, defining the types of information the foundation will collect and retain.

INFORMATION WE WILL COLLECT

No Roads Expeditions Foundation collects and retains information of a personal nature, the types of which are as follows

a. Personal data including names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, date of birth and credit card details

b. Other information collected includes medical information, food allergies, health conditions, next of kin (for mission workers only)

No Roads Expeditions Foundation retains the right to amend this list at any time in the future.

HOW WE COLLECT THIS INFORMATION AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR

Information is gathered through a number of sources

a. Cookies

Cookies are pieces of information that are sent by the No Roads Expeditions Foundation when you log onto our website, that is stored on your computer and allows us to recognise you as a user the next time you visit.

If you wish you can configure your browser to accept or reject all/some cookies or notify you when a cookie is sent. Since there are many platforms of internet browsers, we suggest you make use of the Help Menu of your browser for more information regarding cookies.

Please be aware, that if you do choose to reject all cookies, you may not be able to access the foundation’s website or parts of the website.

b. Forms

When using No Roads Expeditions Foundation’s website, there may be forms for you to complete, which will request certain information from you in order to proceed. For some activities, hard copy forms will be provided for you to print out and send back. For both, these digital and paper methods, all information is used strictly for verification and legal purposes.

CORRECTING OR UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION

Your information is important to us, if you feel that your information is incorrect, have the need to update details or simply want access to your information, you can email us at foundation@noroadsfoundation.org and we will accommodate your request in a timely and professional manner.

DISCLOSING YOUR INFORMATION

Disclosure of personal information is strictly kept to employees of the No Roads Expeditions Foundation and the Board Directors. In some circumstances information may be passed onto volunteers and contractors of the foundation; for them to be able to complete their role and assigned work for the foundation. At all times, these parties will be subjected to the same privacy commitment and responsibilities as employees and Directors of the foundation are obligated to.

In regard to mission workers, information will be/may need to be disclosed to third party organisations to accommodate mission expeditions/travel requirements eg plane tickets, hotel arrangements etc.

HOW WE STORE AND PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

No Roads Expeditions Foundation makes the security of your information a priority. All information is stored safely and handled with the highest levels of best practice industry standards.

COMPLAINTS AND BREACHES OF PRIVACY

We take breaches of privacy very seriously and are fully prepared to handle the situation professionally, ethically and confidentially. If your believe that a breach of your privacy has been committed, we encourage you to email the details to our Company Secretary at foundation@noroadsfoundation.org, who will review the situation and handle the necessary measures to resolve the issue. If you suspect the breach was committed by the Company Secretary, please correspond with the Chairperson of the No Roads Expeditions Foundation Board, who will handle the situation further.

No Roads Expeditions Foundation takes its commitment to responsible use of your information/data very seriously and all cases of misuse will be appropriately addressed.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR RIGHT TO ANONYMITY

No Roads Expeditions Foundation understands and respects your privacy and private information. We will do everything in our power to uphold your right to anonymity and protect your personal information.

INFORMATION RETENTION

By sharing your information with the foundation, you agree to have your information stored and retained in a safe manner for use in future endeavours by the foundation.

UNSUBSCRIBING/DISASSOCIATION

Should you wish to unsubscribe from our newsletter service and marketing collateral, an electronic unsubscribe option will be available in the eDM, which will automatically handle this request.

As per Australian law, you have the right to, at any time, request your information be removed from the foundation’s CRM system and disassociate from No Roads Expeditions Foundation. To do this please email the Chief Executive Officer on foundation@noroadsfoundation.org who will handle the process in full and inform you when the procedure is finalised.

Please note, that there is/may be a retaining period of two weeks where we will continue to store and use your information but after that your request will be carried out in its entirety.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

No Roads Expeditions Foundation retains the right to change, amend or update this policy in the future, at any time.
